Some states require a safety plan to be drawn up, or request tax documents and so forth.

One of the biggest challenges facing these legal businesses is obtaining the full range of business services, such as merchant accounts for processing credit card sales or bank accounts, since marijuana is only legal on the state level, not at the federal level.

Perhaps the strongest argument that the government will respond to is the potential tax base that medical marijuana will generate. In tough economic times it is hard to turn away any source of much needed income.

Salmon oil is highly beneficial as it provides Essential Fatty Acids (omega 3) to help the body produce natural anti-inflammatory chemicals. Purslane (Portulacaceae), also known as claytonia, miner’s lettuce or pigweed, is another source of omega 3. Add it to a salad. The full beneficial effect takes about 3 to 6 months, so persevere.

Hemp seed oil contains omega 3, 6 and 9 oils and is high in GLA. These properties are rarely found in balance in any one plant, making hemp seed oil an excellent choice for arthritics.

To prevent the body drawing calcium from the bones and teeth to counteract the high acid levels in the blood (almost always the case with rheumatics), make a tea of edible celery seeds and/or dandelion root. Boil pure water and wait 30 seconds before pouring over 1 teaspoonful of herbs in a cup. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before drinking.

For pain relief make tea of valerian as above, or of chickweed (which grows wild in places) using 2 teaspoons of dried herb. Allow to stand for only 5 minutes. Fresh chickweed can be used in salad.

Feverfew is rather unpalatable as a tea but, three times per day, eat a chopped up leaf masked in a sandwich. It may take up to 6 months to bring results, but it has brought relief not only to arthritics but to migraine sufferers as well. Start now and persevere. Do not use during pregnancy.

To aid circulation in the affected area, make tea of cayenne pepper and use in a compress.

A 1/4 teaspoonful of ground ginger in a cup of boiled water first thing every morning will begin to pay off in about 3 weeks. This is a cure used in Chinese medicine. Ginger discourages the white blood cells forming around the joint, consequently there is a marked reduction of pain.

Cannabis seeds could also be cooked in porridge. These marijuana seeds remained an important part of the Chinese diet until they were replaced with higher quality grains in the 10th Century.

The ancient Chinese people learned to press marijuana seeds to obtain the oil, which could be used for cooking, lamps, or lubrication. The leftover cannabis residue provided feed for domestic animals.

Medicinal marijuana was also used in ancient China. China’s oldest known pharmacological work described marijuana preparations to treat conditions from constipation to malaria. Marijuana treatments included grinding the roots into a paste for treating pain. Chinese surgeon Hua To even used the cannabis plant for surgical anesthesia during the second century.

The earliest records of the psychoactive effects of marijuana are also found in China, dating back to around 2000 B.C. This document, Materia Medica Sutra, notes that the cannabis seed “if taken in excess” will allow the user to see spirits. “If taken over a long-term, it makes one communicate with spirits and lightens one’s body.” Later writers, such as 5th Century Chinese physician T’ao Hung Ching, believed that the hallucinatory effects of cannabis, combined with ginseng, would allow users to see into the future.

It contains more than 60 kinds of cannabinoids, including delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is largely responsible for the psychoactive effects. Medicinal uses: Internally for nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy, to reduce ocular pressure in glaucoma, ease muscular stiffness and tremors in multiple sclerosis, and help AIDS patients gain weight (subsp. indica). Externally for corns, sores, and varicose ulcers. Seeds (huo ma ren) used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat constipation caused by debility or fluid deficiency.

Culinary uses: Seeds are ingredient in whole food cuisine and beers, and used as a condiment in Japanese food, notably in the spice mixture shichimi. Seed oil is used for culinary purposes. dried herb is an ingredient of Moroccan candy (majoun) and is important as a flavoring in Ital (rastafarian) cooking.

Economic uses: Source of fibres for rope making. Oil pressed from seeds is added to cosmetics.
